About Us

Rebellion Ciderworks is located in a renovated barn in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania. Rebellion makes artisan hard cider on site using the traditional rack and cloth method in our 1921 cider press. We use a mixture of heirloom European and American cider apples, common dessert apples, and wild cider apples which bring a unique flavor of Slippery Rock to our cider. We use 100% juice in our products which creates a pure and powerful taste.

We are committed to quality at Rebellion and passionate about maintaining the tradition of cider making. Our personal orchard of European, American, and local cider apples is growing and expanding and will be ready to produce in the near future. Our goal is to see the apple from start to finish: to grow and nurture the apple, wash, grind, press the apple, and use the pomace to nourish.

Plan to visit our tasting room for samples, glasses, and growlers when it opens in 2013. In the meantime, ask for a Rebellion at your local restaurants and look for us at neighboring Farmers Markets.

We are a family owned and operated business. We hope you enjoy our cider as much as we enjoy making it!
